“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Area of Expertise: Having worked on different college campuses, I have spent a lot of time helping students develop the necessary skills to be successful in college and helping them chart their path towards their goals through professional development, academic skills, and time management. .

Dream Destination: I would love to take a road trip out west and visit national parks – this has been a bucket list item for a long time.

Education: B.S. in Business Administration and M. Ed. In Higher Education and Student Affairs

Soundtrack of my life: Any Ben Rector album, but especially, “The Walking in Between”

Guilty Pleasures: Watching Harry Potter on repeat and eating a copious amount of ice cream at a time. And on the occasion, binge-watch a new show on Netflix.

Hobbies: Traveling around the world, trying new foods, spending time outdoors, and spending time with my younger cousins!

Why I care about making Breakthroughs happen: I got into working in education because of the impact that my education had on my life. Attending college and then graduate school are both privileges that many people like me do not get to have. However, I was fortunate enough to have mentors and counselors that not only believed in me, but supported me on my journey in very tangible ways – Breakthrough is my opportunity to be that person for the next generation of students.
