BTNY NOMINATION (for schools)
The BTNY Nomination is an opportunity for school administrators, prospective guardians, and even prospective students themselves to identify strong 6th grade candidates for BTNY.
WHO should I nominate for BTNY?
Current NYC 6th grade students attending a public, charter, or parochial school are invited to be nominated and apply to BTNY. In addition, nominated students must have received a Level 3 or 4 on the 5th Grade ELA & Math state exams. Nominated students who do not meet that criteria will not be eligible for BTNY.
HOW can I nominate students for BTNY?
BTNY is requesting nominations for prospective BTNY students through Friday, November 1st, 2019. Please note that the nomination form can be saved and submitted over time.
To submit nominations for BTNY, all you will need to collect is:
A list of your students’ names who received a Level 3 or 4 on their 5th grade ELA & Math state exams
At least one e-mail address for that student/family (all of our admissions communications go out through e-mail!)
To submit nominations for BTNY, please complete the form below.
What happens AFTER I submit my nominations?
We encourage schools to hand out our Admissions Packet (in English, Spanish, or Mandarin) to the students who they nominate. The admissions packet includes an overview of our 10-year program, our eligibility criteria, our admissions process, and an Information Session calendar.
If you are working with BTNY for the first time and would like to stay up-to-date throughout the admissions process, please be sure to add yourself to our 2019-2020 Admissions Mailing List!
